A free app from GoGuardian, already enabled for CCSD66 families in grades 2 through 8. Grade 2 parents get activity reports (the device stays at school). Grades 3 through 8 get activity reports plus out-of-school controls (pause, schedule, and website blocks) since the Chromebook goes home.

Top websites visited, Google Workspace files opened, apps and extensions used, and YouTube videos watched over the time range you pick (1, 7, 14, or 30 days).
All activity
A chronological list of websites your child visited or attempted to visit on the district Chromebook. Sites blocked by district filtering are labeled.
Teacher interactions
A count of screen locks, tabs opened or closed by the teacher, and websites blocked during a GoGuardian Teacher session. Useful context for conversations at home.

What you can do (grades 3 through 8)
Controls for out-of-school hours.
Because the Chromebook comes home for grades 3 through 8, parents can layer their own controls on top of district filtering. Controls only apply during out-of-school hours. Grade 2 devices stay at school, so these controls do not apply to grade 2.
Pause the internet
Pause internet access on the Chromebook for 15 or 30 minutes, 1, 2, or 4 hours, or the rest of the day. Tap Resume to end the pause early.
Set a schedule
Recurring off-hours (dinner, homework, bedtime) on the days you pick. Schedules that cross midnight need two entries (for example, 9 PM to 12 AM, then 12 AM to 7 AM).
Block websites
Block specific domains (for example, instagram.com or mail.google.com). Blocks apply outside school hours and can take up to 2 minutes to activate.
