Call your school office.
CCSD66 schools take absence reports by phone — not through Skyward. Find your school's office number on the Get Help page. Earlier in the day is better.

In the app settings, opt into push notifications for tardies and absences. Get a heads-up the moment something is recorded.
Plan vacations early
Call the school office in advance. They can flag the days as excused before they arrive.
Check the daily schedule
If your child is sick, the Schedule tile shows what they're missing — useful for catching up.
